Four Things Your Travel Agent Did Not Tell You

Whenever we are traveling overseas, especially to countries we do not know much about, we tend to expect conditions to be pretty much similar to those of our country or else we hope the travel agency will provide us with sufficient information. Funny thing is, travel agents have probably never been to this cities and countries we travel to and they only know just as much as we do.

One thing your travel agent did not tell you is to carry your own bottled water. If you have a sensitive stomach and are visiting a city where you are unsure about the drinking water, you will be much better carrying your own bottled water. This is especially important if you will be visiting small, out-of-town locations for camping or adventure.

Sometimes travel agents forget or are unaware of the weather conditions in a city you plan to visit. The world has varying seasons through out the year. One city may be warm on one day yet another city is freezing cold. Finding out the weather conditions prior to traveling is very important.

Always take anti-malaria medication especially if traveling to tropical countries. And carry your driver’s license. You may need to rent a car when overseas.
